Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage is an energising and relaxing treatment consisting of massage, pressure point work and joint manipulation to the feet, lower legs and up into the hip joints. A small stick is used as part of the treatment to work around the feet. The intention is to stimulate the reflex points of the feet to promote a feeling of general health and well-being.

A treatment takes around one hour.

Thai Herbal Compress Massage

Thai Herbal Compress Massage is a blend of massage with the detoxifying benefits of warmed herbal compresses. Beneficial for all the body systems, it is ideal for clients who carry a lot of tension - the heat from the compresses can be soothing around aching muscles and joints, whilst the detoxifying benefits of the herbs can help with general fatigue. The treatment is performed through towels and/or clothing.

A treatment will take about one hour.

Table Thai Massage

Table Thai Massage is a combination of East and Western massage styles, performed on a massage couch, which some clients prefer. Performed through clothing, Table Thai uses the classical Thai elements of muscle compression, stretching and joint mobilization to balance energies throughout the body.

Sports/Therapeutic Massage

Sports Massage is beneficial for injury prevention and maintenance of good physical condition. It is generally a fast and vigorous massage that treats the accumulation of general aches and pains experienced by active people. It uses techniques which relieve muscle tension and help to reduce overuse injuries and can be directed at local problem areas or used as general maintenance treatment.

A typical treatment will generally take an hour, but can be varied according to the specific needs of the client.

Sports Massage may be used as maintenance sessions, or as pre-event or post-event treatments. However, it is not only beneficial for sports people but for those with stressful jobs for example, especially people working at computers and with desk-bound jobs.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is the ultimate combination of luxury and therapy. Warmth from the stones relaxes the muscles, gently easing away knots and stresses.

A treatment for the whole body would take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, finishing off with a pampering facial massage.

Hopi Ear Candling

With its historical roots going back to the Native North and South American Indian cultures, the ancient art of Ear Candling is becoming increasingly recognised as a beneficial modern therapy.

Ear Candling can be helpful for clearing blocked ears and relieving conditions such as sinus problems, headache, tinnitus and rhinitis. It can also be beneficial in relieving the effects of flying, particularly if given up to 48 hours before and/or after a flight.

Ear candles are hollow tubes made from woven cotton, impregnated with honey extract, beeswax and herbs. Inserted gently into the ear, the air inside the lit candle becomes warmed by the flame, creating a light suction action which gently massages the eardrum, balancing pressure in the ears and sinuses.

A treatment takes about 45 minutes, and concludes with a facial massage to clear and drain the sinuses.

Chi-Holistix uses special 'Biosun' Ear candles which contain a filter to protect the ear and have been tested for quality and safety and comply with EU regulations.

Skincare Facials and Facial Massage

Skincare Facials and Facial Massage is a relaxing and pampering treatment, using a range of natural skincare products to enhance the complexion.

Treatment includes skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, heat treatment, facial massage, mask, moisturiser and additional specialist serums as required. Treatments can also be offered for the back, to help clear congested skin in that area.

Mini Facial - £35
includes consultation and skin analysis, cleanse, tone, facial massage, exfoliation and specialist products such as Hydrating control Serum, Eye Gel, followed by moisturiser.

Full Facial £45
includes consultation and skin analysis, and appropriate products for oily, dry, mature or sensitive skin. Cleanse, tone, exfoliation, facial massage, Intensive Clarifying Therapy (oxygen mask), and specialist products such as Hydrating control Serum, Eye Gel, followed by moisturiser.

Full Facial and Rejuvenating Neck Treatment £55
As above, but also incorporating the neck and decollete.

A luxurious combination of Skincare Facial and Natural Facelift Massage treatments is also available and will take 1 hour 30 minutes.

Natural Facelift Massage

Natural Facelift Massage uses Eastern and Western massage techniques to work on the muscles and energy meridians in the face, with the intention of helping the muscles to counter the effects of gravity. This specialised treatment can improve the complexion, remove toxins and puffiness from the race, as well as balance the emotions.

This is a lovely treatment as a one-off treat, but to be truly effective, regular treatments are recommended, in order to tone and improve the complexion, get rid of tension, boost energy, and look rejuvenated.

A treatment will take approximately one hour.

A luxurious combination of a Skincare Facial and Natural Facelift Massage treatments is also available and will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Reflexology

Reflexology treats the feet in order to balance the whole body by applying pressure to specific areas of the feet. It works on the principle that the body is connected from head to toe, with all the nerves ending in the feet. As such, the feet are like a mini-map of the body. By manipulating a particular area of the foot, the corresponding organs of the body receive a positive benefit. Reflexology encourages relaxation and stimulating and helps the body to rebuild its energy resources.

Reflexology is lovely as a one-off treat, but in order to be truly effective, regular treatments are recommended, according to need.

A first Reflexology treatment will take approximately one hour, to allow for a detailed consultation. Subsequent treatments will take 45 minutes.

Pamper Parties

Pamper parties are available in a client's home, generally for up to 5 clients who will each receive a pampering 20 minute treatment. The choice of available treatments will be discussed with the party host prior to the party, but clients can choose their favoured treatment on the night.

Reiki

Reiki is a new treatment being offered, hence I am offering a reduction for Reiki treatments during September 08 so that I can develop my skills.

Reiki is a natural system of energy healing, which can help to balance the mind, body and spirit. Reiki focuses the energy to where the body needs it most, on all levels - the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, and enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself. It takes the body to a state of deep relaxation so that it works more efficiently and strengthens the healing system within.

A treatment takes from 45 minutes to an hour. It is performed through clothing and involves gentle hands-on positioning over the body.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a relaxing and energising treatment to the upper back, upper arms, neck, head and face ~ in fact, all the parts of the body which can be vulnerable to stress. Nourishing oils, such as coconut or sesame, can be used on the hair and scalp to help encourage healthy shiny hair. Indian Head Massage can bring about an improvement in skin and hair condition over a period of time and can be very beneficial as a stress management treatment.

A typical treatment takes between 30-40 minutes. The client is seated during the treatment, which is performed through clothing.
